Our guide took us through the factory where they make the sculptures, they’re all hand-made taking weeks to months to make each piece. The whole sanctuary (which is seen as a museum locally) is made entirely of wood, with no nails or anything! She explained the techniques they use to lock the wood together. This was interesting to me, as some of my fondest childhood memories are in my Grandad’s shed, with him, my brother, and me making random wood stuff together.
